Good Morning Scones

Feeds 8-10 people
4 C of all-purpose flour
4 t baking powder
1 C sugar
1 ½ stick of butter, creamed
4 eggs
½ C milk
1 C of walnuts
½ C raisins
½ C dates
.(or 1 C of either)
Mix the flour, baking powder and sugar. Work the butter
into the flour mixture like you would making biscuits, until
it is crumbly. Beat the eggs and milk together and add to
the flour mixture. Add the nuts and fruit to the dough.
Knead the mixture about 20 times and roll out to ½
- ¾ " think. Cut out the scones with a biscuit
cutter. Place on a sprayed bread pan and bake at 375 degrees
about 12 - 18 minutes, or until done.
